2. Scope
This policy applies to personal information collected through domainepublic.ca and related communications (for example emails you send us). It does not cover third-party websites linked from ours.
3. Personal information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
When you email us (including booking or general inquiries), we receive the content of your message and any identifiers you include (name, email address, company, project details).
3.2 Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, we may process:
- Technical and usage data (pages viewed, approximate region derived from IP, device/browser type, referring URL, timestamps)
- Cookie and similar preference data (see Section 5)
- Interaction events used to improve the site (for example opening certain UI sections), only when analytics is allowed under your choices
We do not ask for sensitive personal information on this website. Please do not send sensitive information by email unless necessary.

5.2 Analytics (optional — off until you accept)
If you accept analytics, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used (page views, traffic sources, device information, and selected interaction events) so we can improve it.

If you reject analytics (or have not accepted), we do not place PostHog analytics cookies or local storage for that purpose. Depending on configuration, we may still receive limited, cookieless aggregate traffic counts using a privacy-preserving technical identifier calculated on PostHog’s servers, which is designed not to recognize you across visits the way a persistent cookie would. You can refuse optional analytics cookies at any time; for the strictest control, reject analytics and contact us if you want confirmation that no audience measurement applies to your visit.
Video embeds on this site are configured to disable Mux cookies and tracking where supported.
5.3 No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking pixels on this website.
6. Service providers and transfers outside Québec
We use service providers who process information on our behalf, including:
- Hosting / delivery of the website
- PostHog for analytics (when enabled under your choices), with processing that may occur in the United States
- Content and media providers used to deliver site content (e.g. CMS / video delivery), which may process technical request data
When personal information is communicated outside Québec, we take contractual and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, as required by Law 25. Details are available on request to the privacy officer.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law:
- Email inquiries: typically for the duration of the business relationship and a reasonable follow-up period
- Analytics data: retained according to our PostHog project settings and then deleted or aggregated
- Consent records stored in your browser: for the life of the consent cookie
When retention ends, we destroy or anonymize the information securely.
8. Your rights (Québec Law 25)
Subject to legal limits, you may request to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent to optional processing (including analytics cookies via Cookie Preference)
- Ask about portability of computerized personal information you provided, where applicable

9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
10. Children
This website is intended for a general professional audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
